#LatinaGeeks partnered with Intuit on Thursday, March 25th to present an enriching <\/span>virtual opportunity\u00a0<\/span>for Latinas to learn financial management using QuickBooks<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As you all know, we drive our workshops based on our member\u2019s feedback. For a couple of years, our community has been asking for a small business tool.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>So when the<\/span>\u00a0partnership with Intuit began, we were quick to ask\u00a0<\/span>for<\/span>\u00a0host a workshop on QuickBooks<\/span>, an\u00a0<\/span>accounting software package developed and marketed by Intuit. QuickBooks products are geared mainly toward small and medium-sized businesses and offer on-premises accounting applications as well as cloud-based versions that accept business payments, manage and pay bills, and payroll functions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This interactive workshop brought together self-employed, small business owners and entrepreneurs to learn the essentials of bookkeeping, accounting for business and payroll using QuickBooks from experts at Intuit.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During this session, the attendees broke out into 3 breakout rooms with a QuickBooks expert. The breakout rooms were based on experience and interest of QuickBooks: 2 rooms covered an introduction to QuickBooks and 1 room was for those who already use QuickBooks and wanted to learn more. The topics covered were Introducing QuickBooks Online and its features, Navigating QuickBooks Online with tips on how to manage account settings, learning to manage the navigation bar,\u00a0<\/span>modify<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0lists<\/span>\u00a0and account management.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kimbra\u00a0<\/span>Brookstein<\/span>, who is also a #LatinaGeeks board member and our sponsor\u00a0<\/span>f<\/span>rom Intuit, presented on Intuit\u2019s growth opportunities in business such as\u00a0<\/span>Intuit Careers<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Tech Women @ Intuit<\/span><\/a>. CC Woolfolk from Intuit’s Latino ERG,\u00a0<\/span>Intuit Latinos Network,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0shared their 3 pillars:\u00a0<\/span>Unir<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>Crecer<\/span>\u00a0y\u00a0<\/span>Servir<\/span>. As part of this workshop, Intuit generously donated one-year subscription of QuickBooks<\/span>\u00a0Online<\/span>\u00a0PLUS a complimentary set-up session with one of the instructors from the workshop.
