This position requires a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an individual passionate about advancing the mission of #LatinaGeeks in the technology landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Support Chapter President:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborate closely with the Chapter President to ensure the smooth functioning of the chapter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as a key advisor and confidant to the President.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leadership in Absence:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step into the role of the President in their absence, ensuring continuity and effective leadership.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee chapter activities and decision-making processes as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Meeting Facilitation:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in creating agendas for monthly chapter meetings and preside over meetings in the absence of the President.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that discussions are productive and aligned with the mission of #LatinaGeeks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Programs &amp; Events:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work closely with the President to plan and execute chapter programs and events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Host (or Co-host) of virtual and in-person chapter programs and events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communication<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain open communication with sponsors and chapter volunteers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relay important information to the President and the chapter team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Volunteer Engagement:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist in the onboarding of new chapter volunteers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support volunteers in understanding their roles, responsibilities, and the communication platforms they use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community Engagement:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attend a minimum of three external events annually to build community connections and raise awareness of #LatinaGeeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate outcomes and insights to the chapter team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transition Planning:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work closely with the President to ensure a smooth transition at the end of their term.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarize oneself with all aspects of the President&#8217;s role for an effective handover.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Previous experience in a leadership or advisory role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent organizational and communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experienced in Public Speaking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to make informed decisions in the absence of the President.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to the goals and values of #LatinaGeeks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview\/Description:\u00a0The Vice President of the #LatinaGeeks Chapter is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the Chapter President and stepping in seamlessly when the President is unavailable.
